Reverend Daniel Grams came to Ascension of Christ in September 2013 as Pastor. Pastor Grams was born and raised in Detroit. Before accepting the call to Ascension of Christ, he served congregations in New Jersey and Wisconsin. He is a 2002 graduate of Concordia Theological Seminary in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Pastor Grams married his wife, Susan, in 1998. Susan teaches 1st grade at St. John Lutheran School in Fraser, Michigan. They have four children who attend Lutheran schools.
Katrina Stewart comes to Ascension with over 16 years of experience in the Early Childhood field. She ran an accredited in-home program for seven years in order to be home with her four children. She worked for the YMCA as the Director of School Age Child Care, Summer Camp, and Youth and Family Director. Immediately prior to her employment at Ascension, Trina served as the Center Director of Kinder Care Learning Center in Ann Arbor. Trina holds an associate's degree in Child Care and Development from Schoolcraft College and is completing her bachelor of science degree in Early Childhood Studies at Rochester College. "I believe the work that is done early in a child’s life sets the foundation for all of their future endeavors. My prayer is that the Ascension Early Child Care Center reaches many families in the community and becomes known for providing excellent care in a small, nurturing, Christ-centered environment while sharing the message of God's love for all." "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it". Proverbs 22:6 KJV
